Penny Walker is an independent facilitator, trainer, coach and consultant working to bring about change for sustainable development.
For the first ten years of her career, Penny was a campaigner with Friends of the Earth, as a local group activist and staff member.
She changed direction as she became interested in helping people create change from inside the organisations which need to change the most. She has worked as an independent consultant for over twenty years, coaching change agents, facilitating collaboration and helping people learn about sustainability and how they can bring it about. Clients have included Unilever, the Environment Agency, Crest Nicholson, the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and Greenpeace
The first edition of her book “Change Management for Sustainable Development” was published by IEMA in 2006. In 2013, her second book “Working Collaboratively: a practical guide to achieving more” was published by Do Shorts. She writes regularly for The Environmentalist, bringing insights from the world of change to sustainability specialists.
Penny is a Chartered Environmentalist and an IEMA Member, as well as being a qualified coach and a Certified Professional Facilitator.
